The purpose of the network is to provide opportunities for district administrators, whose primary focus is the continuous improvement of teaching and learning in the district, to meet monthly.

First Friday of each month
Statewide Updates: 8:30-10:00 a.m.
Heartland AEA Updates: 10:15-11:30 a.m.

Experience: 2 years as a family & consumer science teacher; 8 years as a special education teacher; 21 years in school administration: assistant middle school principal, elementary principal, director of special education, assistant superintendent, superintendent; 5 years in AEA administration: chief administrator, chief academic officer

Expertise: Leadership of systems and system development, general education and special education

Professional affiliations: School Administrators of Iowa, American Association of School Administrators

How I’ve made an impact: As a school leader, I’ve led successful school improvement processes which resulted in buildings and districts identifying key needs/priorities, developing implementation plans and sustaining school improvement efforts so that all students were able to exhibit growth and improve academically initially and over time.
