Audiologist 

Job Description 

  • Provides services necessary for the identification, diagnostic evaluation and educational programming for children and youth with hearing loss 
  • Assists schools in providing quality listening and learning environments that aid in student achievement 
  • Serves as an advocate for the hearing, listening and learning needs of all children and youth 

Education & Experience 

  • Master’s or doctorate degree in audiology 
  • Appropriate license/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners 

Salary 

  • Full-time working 192 days a year: starting salary of $55,783
  • Top of pay range: $97,369

Audiometrist

Job Description

  • Follows and develops a yearly schedule of hearing screening and retest days under the direction of an audiologist
  • Administers individual hearing screenings to students in assigned schools according to agency policy
  • Enters accurate data regarding student demographics and hearing screening results
  • Assists in administering additional audiometric assessments under the direct supervision of an audiologist
  • Serves as an advocate for all children and youth

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office software or database management programs
  • Experience in office skills including proficiency in Google, Word, Excel and email

Salary

  • Pay range currently stands at $20-27 an hour
