Assistive Technology
Assistive technology (AT) services assist with the selection and implementation of technology-based tools and strategies to support educational achievement for students who have special needs. Heartland AEA’s AT services focus on:
- Accessible instructional materials (AIM)
- Specialized software and apps for struggling readers and writers
- Alternative/augmentative communication
- Computer and mobile device access
