The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has recognized Heartland AEA for achieving the Proficient level in the Excellence in School Psychological Services (ESPS) program. This recognition signifies the Agency’s dedication to meeting the highest national standards in school psychology and Heartland AEA’s exceptional commitment to providing high-quality school psychology services to a diverse range of school districts in Iowa. Notably, Heartland AEA is the first education service agency to receive ESPS recognition.

The ESPS program recognizes school districts and agencies that demonstrate a significant commitment to the NASP Practice Model and its core principles. Heartland AEA’s success exemplifies these principles in action:

  • Flexible Service Delivery
  • Innovative Practices
  • Culture of Growth and Collaboration
  • Quality Support and Continuous Improvement

“We are honored to be recognized by NASP for our school psychology services,” said Cindy Yelick, Ed.D., chief administrator of Heartland AEA. “This achievement reflects the dedication and expertise of our entire school psychology team, who are committed to providing vital support to students, educators and families. This recognition as the first education service agency to achieve ESPS Proficient designation is a testament to our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in school psychology services.”
