FAQ

Q: We’ve always worked directly with Canvas, why should we contract through Heartland AEA?

A:  The Heartland AEA Canvas team has been working with Canvas, and we now have a Canvas Certified Administrator on staff. We have helped onboard and train numerous schools over the past six years. We were approached to help build local capacity through the Iowa Canvas User Network and to begin to broker Instructure services as AEAs change their service delivery model due to HF 2612.

Q: What if I want a package of services?

A: Many configurations of services can be made available to your district to meet the needs of educators and the teaching department. What’s unique and appealing about Heartland AEA’s services is the team approach. You will receive a competent team of educators, technicians and services as part of any package configured.

Q: What is the cost of participating?

A: Contact Heartland AEA to gather pricing information for specific Canvas services for supports.

User Story

“Canvas administrator duties were taking away from the instructional focus and responsibilities of our staff. By accessing the Heartland AEA Canvas team, our district teachers were able to focus on teaching at learning vs. Canvas “administrator” tasks, specifically paraeducator rostering, integration of Canvas LTI resources and teacher use of custom district course templates. Our partnership with the Heartland AEA Canvas team has allowed our teachers to focus on instruction and has improved the online learning experience for our students.”
